Ballpark Figure
We have a pretty good idea of when Baby H will grace our presence on this divine earth. We will know more this Wednesday but it looks like February 12th could be the birthday for our son. How do we know this you ask? Well, at a visit to the doctor last week, we were told that Baby H is nearing 7 pounds already and to due to the size it was pretty much determined that Dyani will be induced a week early. We are somewhat relieved to know that there will be a concrete date but certainly it will not Friday February the 13th!

6 Weeks to Go!
Today we officially have six weeks until our little guy arrives! I went in for a check up earlier this week and all is still going well. I will now start seeing the doc every week, starting with next Wednesday when we'll get our final sonogram. The sono will confirm that the baby is in the correct position, head down. I've been a little worried about this lately because sometimes my belly takes on some really weird shapes, making me think he's possibly transverse. That would mean a c-section which we're hoping to avoid.
It seems like its been a long 8 1/2 months and I'm kind of anxious to get control of my body back. My back hurts daily and my abdominal muscles are stretching which is pretty uncomfortable. I can gut it out for six more weeks though to give baby H the optimal tummy time.
Frank and I finished our baby classes the other day. We learned some good breathing techniques but we have a hard time keeping in sync when we're practicing them. Frank says he is a "game time player" and will be able to come through when the labor starts. With baby classes done, we just need to interview our pediatrician next week, finish the nursery and pack our hospital bags and I think we'll be all set!
For those who haven't seen me in a while, check it out. I'm massive!

Fam and Friends at the Shower!
The Baby Shower of Power

What a wonderful day it was for us as our loving friends and family ventured to Jim's Crab Shack and Tiki Bar on December 6th to shower the expectant parents with gifts for the little nugget that will arrive in mid February. Our little can't miss prospect will have plenty of books and amenities that come with being a new born.
New Year Goals
One of them is to keep this blog updated better! We will. So check back even later today, this Blog is going to be off the meat rack son!
